Tagestour Vogelbeobachtung Costa Rica

Costa Rica Bird Watching!. Palo Verde is one of the most important and interesting
National Parks in Costa Rica

Birdwatching Palo Verde

It has at least 12 different habitats within the park including: mangroves, swamps, swamps forests, saltwater and freshwater lagoons and marshes.

On this river bank your birding guide will help you search for the fabulous array of wild birds and a myriad of creatures.

The park provides shelter for a great variety of birds such as the American Woodstock, the Roseate Spoonbill, the Boat-billed Heron, the Tiger Heron and the Tropical Kingbird.  This is a great tour for those who love nature and bird watching!!!

NOTE:  Although Costa Rica is a small country, it is in the bird-rich neotropical region and has a huge number of species for its area. 893 bird species have been recorded in the country (including Cocos Island), more than in all of the United States and Canada combined. Of those species, seven are endemic and 19 are globally threatened. The Official List of the Asociación Ornitológica de Costa Rica contains 877 species. Over an area of 51,100 km2, an area smaller than West Virginia, this is the greatest density of bird species of any continental American country.

About 600 species are resident, with most of the other regular visitors being winter migrants from North America.

We can arrange as many days of birdwatching as you wish with accommodations, transportation & guide. Our itineraries take you to wonderful locations where you are able to enjoy the best of birding and nature.
